Tanks for the storage of water polluting substances are always dimensioned and approved for a previously defined stored chemical.
This is based on the “Media lists 40” of the Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik in Berlin (DIBt). Chemicals and chemical mixtures not included on the list are assessed with regard to the resistance of the storage tank materials to these substances. Appropriate statements are drawn up by the specialist departments of the semi-finished goods manufacturer
A change in stored media during the life cycle of a storage tank always means a change in use of the vessel concerned. The physical and chemical properties of the new stored medium must be taken into account appropriately and the determined load values compared.

KUSTAN draws up the necessary change in use documentation and structural re-calculations as the basis of the required change notification. All documents are submitted to a test organisation (e.g. TÜV Rheinland Industrieservice GmbH) for checking. Any on-site testing required, including internal inspection, is carried out by the competent employees of the expert organisation.
KUSTAN advises and assists you with the preparation and implementation of changes in use for tanks for the storage of water polluting substances in existing tanks.
